What can Packlet do?

Are files uploaded to a server?
No. Files selected on your device are processed locally in the browser. Packlet does not receive their contents, names, or folder structure.
Do I need to install an app or create an account?
No. The tools run directly on the website without app installation or account registration. Choose a workflow and add your files.
Which archives can I create?
Packlet currently creates standard ZIP archives. You can add multiple files or a whole folder, keep nested structure, and choose compression level.
Which archives can I extract?
ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR, TAR.GZ, GZ, BZ2, and XZ are supported. Before extraction you can inspect the file and folder tree inside the archive.
Which files can I compress?
Packlet includes separate tools for JPG, PNG, and WebP images, PDF documents, and MP4, WebM, MOV, M4V, MKV, and AVI videos. Available settings depend on the file type.
Why can a large file take a long time?
Speed depends on file size, selected settings, and device performance. Because processing is local, large archives and videos require more memory and time.
